    We couldn't get rid of the gel smell and the forehead piece wouldn't stay on. Frustrating! Elderly people with dentures have that sunken in face at night so no mask fits well. I think it would have worked but it had those issues. I wish they could improve on this model.

    This mask has a small exhaust vent on the piece that attaches to the hose. I'm used to this from other masks, but this one is NOISY. Good luck falling asleep while wearing it. It's not gonna happen.

    I have been having serious problems with my CPAP mask injuring my nose, and I tried this gel mask because I read on the internet that it was one of the most comfortable. It is well made and fits well over my nose and mouth, but the gel inside the mask did nothing to protect my nose from injury. But I have found a true total-face mask at Direct Home Medical that is working for me. It required a prescription to purchase, so I provide the contact information for my pulmonary doctor. A few days later and just in time for my visit to the dermatologist, the new mask arrived. I have been using the new mask for about a week, and my nose has cleared up. My dermatologist is no longer looking at my scarred nose thinking I have skin cancer. And my nose is not longer red and sore every morning. The mask is called the FitLife Total Face CPAP Mask.   • .Don't buy if you have upper and lower dentures

    I have been having trouble with my masks leaking after I was given dentures. I have to wear the headgear so tight the straps don't last very long. I tried the ComfortGel Blue Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear with hopes this would help. Even new I was not able to stop it from leaking. After trying this mask I asked my Doctor what to do. I actually told me what I was doing was the right thing to do. Try different masks. At the present time I am trying a nasal pillow mask. But having trouble with that because I try to start breathing out of my mouth. So get a chin strap and tape. With those 3 things I am able to sleep through the night without my dentures.

    I have been using cpap for almost twenty years. Most time to keep the noise down I would take parts from a mirage and install in on your masks. Along the way I got one of the first comfort gel masks and used it for about five years. Hey they don't wear out. I am also using a machine for over 9 years and it still does fine. I would get a new one but the sleep clinic lost my prescription and my insurance will not pay for a new one nor a new sleep study. No matter,, the old one is running just fine. The new comfortgel mask is so quiet I don't have to modify it. It fits nice and doesn't make a lot of noise as it expells the air, like they did at one time. The only thing I would change on the system is the headgear bands. The will not stay down on the back of my head and during the night I have to keep pulling the top ones down. I found a wonderful head band several years ago at a yardsale, believe it or not. Two wide heavy elastic bands that crossed in the back with only an inch yoke between them they stayed put all night. Used them for years till they wore out completely. I think your engineers should use a human head for a model and not a telephone pole, for a design. Other than that I will continue to use the ComfortGel mask, I don't care what color the gel is!!

    I was disappointed in this mask. The bridge of my nose was sore after wearing just 1 night. The headgear was hard to use due to how is was connected to the mask. I have a So Clean 2 and found the headgear hard and frustrating to remove and reattach. I did return and will continue to use my current mask. The ComfortGel should be a good idea but the design of the headgear was very disappointing.

    The mask works well for me, however, there so many factors that enter into the equation it is difficult to say, what works well for one person does not for another. I have tried both the nasal and the full face and prefer the full face. If you move around a lot the seal with your face can be broken and wake you up with air blowing in your eyes. It takes a lot of adjusting (trial and error)to get the mask just right to let you stay asleep. I have also tried one other brand of full face mask and it worked equally well with the same getting it to fit just right issues. Don't give up it takes some getting use to and some nights it just doesn't work no matter how hard you try. Just remember nothing works perfectly, if it was you wouldn't need the damn thing to begin with.

    I bought this mask on sale but I would have been better off getting one like I had before. This mask is heavier than my old one and has to be much tighter to keep from leaking. I am a side sleeper, I think this would work better for a back sleeper. It is also much harder to clean and dry.

    There is not enough adjustability built into the forehead brace. It pinched the bridge of my nose so hard I would wake up and have to take pain reliever for the accompanying headache. It adjusts up and down ok, but not in and out enough. Leaks a lot. I tried it for 10 days to no avail, I would like to get my money back. It's worthless to me. Also, I paid the extra money for 2 shipping, ordered early on a Monday morning, got it on Friday, very poor customer service guys.

    So the blue gel surrounding the mouth piece is fantastic! Too bad Respironics did not make it one continuous piece. The gel stops on both sides at the top of the nose piece leaving the bridge of the nose completely unprotected and open to chafing by the face frame. Bad design. Returned for a refund.   • .Great if a face mask is your thing

    I have concluded that a full face mask is not my thing. This is the second type of full face mask I tried and still found myself ripping it off in the middle of the night. On the positive side, the blue gel lining was much more comfortable than the other mask I tried out and there was no nasal constraint as I experienced with the other mask.

  • .Breaks me out!

    This mask simply doesn't work for me. I used for 2 months and after having to wear a band-aid across my nose every night (the bridge of my nose stayed irritated and got blisters) and my skin below my nose stayed irritated (I had to put antibiotic cream on my skin at night)I ordered the nasal pillows which work much better.

  • .Great comfort, terrible odor

    Mask was very comfortable when tried on. Washed it and air dried it before use. Noticed a mold smell every time I entered the room where it was drying. I thought the odor was coming from something else. When I put it on my face that night, I discovered it was the mask! I was so disappointed because the seal was perfect and it felt so good on. Tried to air it out by letting the machine blow air through it for hours, as a rep. suggested, but to no avail. I have to return it . Maybe it's the chemicals in the gel or how long it's been stored.

    I have used a res med full face and I wear a large. The large version of this mask is more like a medium so I gave it away. Also the strap attachments get twisted and take a while to get on.

  • .Comfort Gell Full Face CPAP Mask

    Price was very good. It has a lot of moving parts for fit and comfort but I am concerned about its durability. First time using this specific mask. It is comfortable to wear which is very important but time will tell if all the moving parts stand up to wear. I am particularly concerned with the black plastic lower strap hooks. If one of those two hooks breaks the mask is toast. No way to keep the lower straps tight against your face. I'm already trying to figure out what I will use to tie in those frail hooks when one breaks and I have to assume one will break in time. I recommend that the manufacturer redesign those hooks.

    Great softness, but when CPAP pressures ramp up the mask begins to leak and the leakage is very noisy. The leaks can be stopped ONLY when tightened to the point of the back strap severely cutting into your neck. BAD PURCHASE !!!

    Finding the right Cpap mask can be quite a task. I started with a nasal mask, only to learn, my mouth opens while I sleep. This resulted in high leak rates and a dry mouth. I next went to the full face mask, ComfortGel Blue, which caused a sore at the bridge of the nose, and I was not able to achieve a good seal. I will now try a Hybrid mask which should resolve the fit problem at the nose bridge. Once I find the right fit, I will be a happy camper!

    This seems to be a well built product. My problem was every time I turned over the mask hit the pillow, or mattress, and this pulled it open. tightening it enough to stop this made it uncomfortable.

    I thought full face masks were designed for people that can't breathe through their noses. This mask forces my mouth shut and even pushes my jaw back which makes my apnea worse than if I were not wearing any kind of CPAP device

    The mask was comfortable, but at high pressures I could not stop continual leaks near my nose, regardless of how I adjusted it. Also when laying on my side on a pillow, the leaks would increase with the usual unpleasant auditory sounds of escaping air. This annoyed my wife considerably by waking her. Wish it would have worked for me.

  • .Difficult fit

    I have used Respionics full face CPAP mask for 10 years, but the discontinued the version I used. This is my first gel mask and finding it difficult to get a good seal without making the mask uncomfortably tight a cross the bridge of my nose. After 10 days, I am still trying to adjust the mask to fit comfortably and maintain a seal.

    I have now tried a lot of masks but this is by far the worst one I have tried. The one thing that makes this mask so bad is that the gel is so long and thin that is just collapses and it was impossible for me to get a fit that would not leak. If the gel was thicker and shorter so that it would stand up against the face I think this would be a very good mask.

    This mask is a blessing! A miracle, really! I have tried 6 different styles of full-face mask, all of which leak air terribly, blowing air into my eyes! This mask does not do that. I usually sleep all night long without waking up due to air leaks. This mask is fabulous! A great feature is that it blows the exhaled air straight up, away from my husband. We can once again cuddle in bed! Mask stays in place even though I am a side-sleeper and turn a lot during my sleep. This mask is so comfortable, I forget I have it on!

    I purchased this mask less than a month ago and I will be buying a different one within the week, To be called a full size mask should come with a disclaimer that it is for little people. the bottom edge presses against my face above my chin so my teeth cuts into my lip. Also the strap in the rear slides up on the back of my head, I have to adjust this thing four to five times a night. adjusting the straps lead to all kinds of issues with comfort and noise from the air. If you have a big face, this may not be the one for you. I purchased the XL. would have be perfect if I needed a medium.

    I could not get the mask to seal very well. When I got a good seal it was too tight and hurt the bridge of my nose. I tried it for 2 weeks but could not get it to work for me. I did like the feel of the face mask which had a nice thick gel layer.
